This versatile 15-9-20 fertiliser is the exact same formula, whether marketed for [Blended Base], [Spuds Galore] or [Horse & Pony]. It supports healthy growth for a range of plants. Pro Grower Blended Base Fertiliser is made for perfect maximum crops of potatoes.
Made from Ammonium Phosphate, Ammonium Nitrate, Kieserite, Sulphate of Potash and Muriate of Potash. This creates an early season fertiliser that's not only great for high potash fruits & vegetables but also benefits tuberous crops. Our blend contains: Magnesium, a vital element for crop growth, provides an extra boost.
In fact, severe magnesium deficiency can reduce potato yields by up to 15%! Sulphate of Potash, increases numbers in root vegetables and improves taste. Higher starch production also improves the potato skin and increases dry matter.
Sulphur plays a role in nitrogen stabilization and amino acid and protein production. It also helps to reduce the level of common and powdery scab. This effect may be due to a reduction in the soil pH where elemental sulphur is used.
